WrestleMania is the culmination of the entire year in WWE—the “season finale” for a product that never takes a break. It was only fitting that UpUpDownDown would have its own marquee event to celebrate the occasion. But this particular UUDDMania took place during the pandemic, raising a difficult question: How do we make our biggest event of the year feel like the biggest event of the year when everyone is stuck at home?

Through a combination of ingenuity, thorough research, and close collaboration with our talent, we found a way to not only remotely record but also have everyone play games together as if they were in the same room. This included not just modern online games but also titles with no online functionality at all. Despite the challenges, we captured all the chaos and excitement of our regular livestreams without missing a beat, delivering a memorable event from the comfort of home.
