US Army gaming pro vs Team WWE

WWE

In a typical remote production, everyone is captured on camera from the comfort of their own home, with the technical setup being uniform across the board. But what happens when you’re faced with an asymmetrical shoot—where a team of WWE Superstars is on the road in a hotel conference room, and their opponent is dialing in from a U.S. Army e-sports center?

This was the challenge I encountered. We needed to set up a classic three-camera studio shoot for our WWE talent while simultaneously managing a remote production for our special guest from the U.S. Army. Normally, this wouldn’t be a problem in a controlled studio environment, but we were working with the limited resources of a hotel conference room. Despite the constraints, I devised a solution that seamlessly brought all our talent together using consumer-grade equipment, staying under budget without compromising the player experience.
