As the team lead and senior producer on UpUpDownDown at WWE, bringing a level of quality and entertainment to our livestream offering was arguably my largest contribution.

6 Cameras, 14 WWE Superstars, 2 giant mascots, and enough water balloons to fill an inflatable pool. This is what I had to wrangle in order to pull off the controlled chaos of the UpUpDownDown Summer Games.

Gaming has been a part of my identity since I was three years old and since the release of Street Fighter 2 in arcades, Capcom’s 1-on-1 combat series has held a special place in my heart.

Imagine being handed the ultimate toy you’ve always dreamed of as a child—a massive playset with all the features you could imagine, intricate and complex. That’s exactly how I felt when I was given the responsibility of producing our very first WWE 2K ratings.

Typically during a remote production all participants are being captured on camera from the comfort of their own home. But what do you do during an asymmetrical shoot?

Utilizing some inginuity, researching technology and working through the needs of our talent, we were able to get them to not just remotely record, but PLAY GAMES as if they were in the same room.

Rollout was a show that had started on UpUpDownDown before I joined the team, however as A D&D fan and DM of many years, my experience and knowledge was vital to future seasons and really turning it into the appointment viewing it became.
